Would you make time to put an extra $30k in your pocket right now?
One of our agents and I were recently talking about something that could potentially put an extra $30,000 back in his pocket.
Not by selling more homes.
Not by working longer hours.
By doing the exact same thing he's always done. No more no less.
Simply by restructuring how he gets paid through the brokerage. For his situation, that meant setting up his LLC, electing S corporation tax status, working with his CPA, and updating the paperwork so the brokerage could pay his business instead of paying him personally.
The entire process could be started in just a few days. Yet, like so many things in business, it kept getting pushed aside because..."I just haven't had time."
But let's be honest.
It usually isn't that we don't have time. It's that we haven't made it a priority.
Funny how we can always find time to go shopping.
We find time to plan vacations, go out to dinner with friends, attend parties, binge a Netflix series, or say "yes" to one more commitment until our schedules are completely full.
Then we convince ourselves we don't have time to, restructure our business, call our past clients, organize our CRM, record that first video, or spend 30 focused minutes lead generating.
The reality is... We all have time. We're just spending it on different priorities.
Most of the things that move our business forward aren't month-long projects.
They're decisions.
Once you decide something is important, it's amazing how quickly it gets done.
When you see me out golfing or spending time with my family, it didn't happen by accident.
I made time for those things. More importantly, I don't feel guilty doing them because I've already accomplished the priorities I set for myself that day.
That's the goal.
Not to work every waking hour.
Not to always be busy.
But to become intentional enough with your time that you can fully enjoy the moments away from work, knowing you've earned them.
This week, ask yourself one question:
What is the one thing I've been telling myself I don't have time for that could make the biggest difference in my business or my life?
Then stop waiting.
Put it on your calendar.
Get it done.
Because success isn't about finding more time.
It's about making the most of the time you already have.
Have a great week,
G.K.
